EXCELLENT Based on 66 reviews Elizabeth2024-09-29Verified This was our first time away with our rescue dog, Mersea is a place we come to for the day so thought it would be a great place for him to stay plus I needed a change of scene. Salt Lodge is absolutely stunning, I was impressed by the attention to detail, everything was there to make our stay perfect even down to the towels to dry our dog after his swim in the sea.David & Ann are the perfect hosts & I highly recommend staying at Salt Lodge Leigh2024-09-02Verified A great stay in beautiful accommodation in a beautiful part of Essex.Accommodation was spotless and beautifully decorated. Parking on site.A close walk to the sea and Marina. We asked straight away if it was available the following weekend!Would easily recommend. Thanks David. Steve2024-08-30Verified This was our first stay at David’s new apartment. previously we had stayed in the ‘Little Lodge’ which was very comfortable.Salt Lodge has been completed to very high standard and has everything that you could possibly want for your stay. Comfortable bed with linen duvet and pillow covers, a superb walk in shower together with all the necessary kitchen utensils. The location is just a short walk from the waterfront, close to the Company Shed and the Coast Inn. Nevertheless it is very quiet being at the end of a good drive off of a normally quiet road.Very highly recommended. Monica2024-07-30Verified A really lovely, tastefully decorated and well-appointed apartment, conveniently placed for the picturesque Anchorage area of West Mersea. And David's welcoming instructions were much appreciated. All that was missing was a slightly larger sitting out area and a sea view! But having said that, we were sorry only to be staying one night. Mersea has been a real find, and we fully plan to return.
